Additional Costs Not Covered

Lodging expenses. We do our best to negotiate competitive group rates at a property in Santa Barbara. Our staff at the HI Office also has a list of additional options for those who desire a different property.

Board expenses. Our hosting hotel includes breakfast in the daily rate. HI also provides muffins, coffee, tea and juices for morning and mid-morning snacks during the CIT. We also provide sodas, water, tea and other drinks for the mid-afternoon breaks. We always include protein bars, and other sweet treats. HI also provides a dinner celebration on the final night of each of the three CIT sessions. At all other times, you are on your own for meals. There are numerous restaurants nearby the conference facility which represent the full range of economy to high end.

Personal Coaching Fees. We require that each trainee receive 25 hours of coaching from a certified coach (either HI certified or other). The costs for this coaching can range from as little as $50/hr to $200/hr. It simply depends on the individual coach you contract with. There are many members of our certified HI Coach Community willing and wanting to provide coaching to trainees at reduced rates. We leave the details of these negotiations to the individuals involved. No portion of these coaching fees is included in the CIT tuition fee.

Required Books. HI only provides the Handbook of Coaching and the Boulder booklet for CIT participants. You are responsible for purchasing all other required readings.

Telephone Expenses. Although HI provides access to a bridgeline telephone service number, there is still a charge on your phone bill for phone calls you make utilizing this line. The charges vary based on your location both within the US and outside. Typically a 60 minute call will cost about $9 within the US.

Permission to use the HI Models. While we do permit you to utilize all of the HI Models in your work with individual coaching clients, we retain the ownership of our technologies and intellectual property in all other uses. We do provide HI Coaches with access to some of the materials on a contractual basis, but our models and content in the LifeLaunch Seminar and CIT, represent a lifetime of development and the core of our business. This means that in order to use our materials in corporate settings, public forums, or anything else, you would need to contract with us for customized arrangements.
